Spontaneous serenades

Pohlheim (rge). The obligatory big public fountain singing at the turn of the winter by the Sängerkranz Watzenborn-Steinberg fell victim to the pandemic, as it did last year. However, the singers around choirmaster Peter Schmitt were not discouraged at the end of the year. After their last choir meeting, they spontaneously set out to sing popular Christmas and gospel songs for the people in the Pohlheim district.

"Merry Christmas Everywhere" rang out in front of the festively lit Christmas tree in front of the Volkshalle, which was set up for the first time, before continuing to Brunnenplatz and then to Kreuzplatz at the Goldener Stern pub. The festive finale was at the historic water house in Hubertusstrasse.

Musical light

The singers delighted the citizens present with German Christmas carols and English gospel songs, bringing a musical light into this dark time.
